Like
a scene from the 'Wild West' the Hotel Cheyenne is a colourful
interpretation of a western town. Set on the banks of the Rio Grande River
opposite the Hotel Santa Fe, The Cheyenne is contained in 14 two story
buildings which are arranged along two main streets and two squares.
All the buildings have a colorful facade many which depict the
different buildings you would expect to find in a wild west town such as
the Jail, Bank or Boarding House. Other buildings take their names from
western legends such as 'Billy The Kid' or 'Annie Oakley'. There is even a
characteristic water tower which rises over one of the areas.
The
theming continues into the impressive lobby which is decorated with all
manner of western items such as antlers and ridding tackle, and there
is also a large fireplace here which is a welcoming sight on winter days.
The lobby houses Check in, Guest Services, Reservation Desk and the
entrance to the General Store and Dinning area.
Great for the kids;
the only site hotel which features rooms with bunk beds. No pool. 15-20
minutes walk from park.
